Dr. Grace Nkundabantu Faraja PhD
Dr. Grace Faraja Nkundabantu is the founder and CEO of African Girls Hope Foundation, a US based 501 ©3 charitable organization with a mission to empower, equip and educate underprivileged aged girls in Sub-Sahara Africa.Dr. Nkundabantu is originally from the Democratic Republic of Congo. She holds a PhD in Human and Social Services with emphasis in Global Human Services from the college of Behavioral Sciences, at Walden University. She also holds a master’s degree in Organizational Management from Ashford University and a bachelor’s degree in Accounting with a minor focus in Economics from Daystar University. She is married to Mr. Denis Horaho and they have been blessed with 4 beautiful girls, Deborah, Elsa, Neza and Nella.
She has a wealth of global experiences, mostly in the areas of empowering women and girls. Her research area is focused on the Experiences of Refugee Women with Different Physical Abilities in Kenya. She has traveled extensively to spearhead community engagement in the East and Central African countries and beyond. For over a decade, Dr. Grace has served in different international humanitarians’ organizations such as Samaritan’s Purse International Relief, SERV International and others.
Over the years, she has received multiple international recognitions, including the 2014 Refugee Voice, and Dr. Nina Meyerhof Leadership AWARD 2019 – for outstanding dedication to bring social change and a devotion to fight poverty and injustice.
